Care with Dr. Sekine
Dr. Sekine treats patients directly, and as a clinical supervisor he oversees senior interns in Wongu's student clinic. He reviews their assessments and treatments so every intern visit meets the standard of a licensed doctor.
Dr. Sekine is known for Japanese-style acupuncture. Japanese acupuncture traditions generally emphasize a gentle touch, careful palpation of the abdomen and channels to guide point selection, and often fewer and shallower needles. Many people who are nervous about needles find this approach comfortable. His treatments may also include cupping and moxibustion (gentle heat from the herb mugwort) when they suit the patient.
Patients see Dr. Sekine for chronic internal conditions and for pain, including back pain.
What patients say
"Best place to go! Dr. Sekine is amazing — he helped me with back pain that was a 10 out of 10. In just 15 minutes with acupuncture my pain was down to a 5. I have no words to express my gratitude."
"Dr. Sekine is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. He treated me with cupping, acupuncture, and moxa — my body feels lighter, more relaxed, and better aligned afterward."
